I like my paintings to capture the essence of a time and place. You can hear the surf from the southern ocean in the rolling hills behind the moonah-clad dunes at the back of Point Lonsdale. And when the sea breeze kicks up on a hazy summer afternoon, it sets the bunny grass dancing in waves.
